Responsibility details are not available.
This item is not a plastic model. It is a set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the Czech publisher ROP o.s., intended for finishing a kit of the Soviet Polikarpov I-153 Chaika fighter biplane. The Stalin's Falcons scheme points to the Soviet fighter pilots whom period propaganda nicknamed Stalin's Falcons. The decals add national insignia, tactical numbers and the personal markings of machines to a finished model.
The Polikarpov I-153 Chaika was a Soviet single-seat fighter biplane from the end of the 1930s. Its recognition features were an upper wing cranked into the shape of a gull's wing and retractable landing gear, and it was powered by a radial engine. It was committed at Khalkhin Gol, in the Winter War with Finland and in the first months of the fighting against Germany, where as a biplane it already lagged behind more modern fighters.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss surface, that is coat the area with gloss varnish first so that no silvering appears. Cut the subject out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it off the backing onto the model. A decal softener is recommended, and finally fix everything with varnish to match the surface of the machine.
This is a decal set, not a model. A separate I-153 kit in 1:72 scale is needed to use it. The paints, the glue and the varnish are not included in the package.
