Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic set of figures in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer First to Fight, whose series concentrates on the Polish campaign of September 1939. The set captures the command group of Polish lancers, that is mounted soldiers, in the saddle, and so it is a natural accessory to models of Polish equipment and to dioramas from the beginning of the Second World War.
In 1939 the cavalry formed a significant part of the Polish army. The lancer regiments served above all as fast mobile infantry; they moved on horseback and fought dismounted, equipped with modern anti-tank rifles and machine guns. Command groups on horseback, with officers and messengers, were an inseparable part of their battle formation. The set therefore makes it possible to depict a historically documented picture of the Polish cavalry of the campaign of September 1939.
The small figures in 1:72 can be glued with ordinary cement for plastic; a fine base coat is advisable before painting. Polish uniforms of 1939 were in khaki shades, and the horses can be painted in brown and black tones with varying markings; a wash will bring the equipment, the harness and the folds of the uniforms out. The figures will come into their own on a base with a grassy surface.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
