A kit of a Russian naval tow tractor in 1:72 scale, with resin parts and an additional photo-etched fret.
Responsibility details are not available.
A tow tractor is an inconspicuous but indispensable vehicle. On its own it carries nothing; its task is to move equipment that cannot or must not move under its own power. It looks accordingly: low, heavy and with a large area for ballast, so that it does not slip while pulling. On a diorama it gives a scene scale and hints at what is going on.
A model in 1:72 scale made up of resin parts, supplemented with a photo-etched fret. Photo-etch is used where a cast or printed part would come out too thick, that is on grilles, brackets and thin sections. The exact number of parts, their placement and the recommended order of building are given in the instructions enclosed with the kit.
With resin parts, cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Photo-etched parts are held on thin tabs; separate them with a blade on a hard surface, not by snipping them off, and bend them over a straight edge, so that the fold is sharp and in one line. Wash and degrease all the parts before painting. A base coat is practically necessary with photo-etch, because paint is otherwise easily rubbed off smooth metal. The particular procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
