An injection-molded plastic kit of the mobile launcher of an air defense missile system in 1:72 scale from the Belarusian maker PST. The model captures the 5P85S launcher of the S-300 PMU system, with the NATO reporting name SA-10 Grumble. The exact contents of the box and the marking options follow the instructions in it.
The S-300 is a Soviet and later Russian mobile long-range anti-aircraft and anti-missile system. The 5P85S launcher is a self-propelled launch unit on a heavy wheeled chassis that carries a group of missiles in erectable transport and launch containers. In a battery the 5P85S version fills the role of the lead launcher. In its day the system was among the most capable means of air defense and it is widespread in a number of armies.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. First finish the chassis and the axles, and only then the body with the containers. The launch containers raised into the firing position make an interesting moment. Apply a primer before painting, ideally with an airbrush; wheeled equipment shows to advantage in a single-color military finish with a discreet patina and dust on the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
