An injection-molded plastic kit of the mobile launcher of an air defense missile system in 1:72 scale from the Belarusian maker PST. The model captures the 5P85D launcher of the S-300PMU system, with the NATO reporting name SA-10 Grumble. The exact contents of the box and the marking options follow the instructions in it.
The S-300 is a Soviet and later Russian mobile long-range anti-aircraft and anti-missile system. The 5P85D launcher is a self-propelled launch unit on a heavy wheeled chassis that carries a group of missiles in erectable transport and launch containers. In a battery it complements the lead 5P85S unit. The system is among the most capable means of air defense of its day and it is widespread in a number of armies.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. First finish the chassis and the axles, then the body with the containers. Raising the launch containers into the firing position is effective. Apply a primer before painting, best with an airbrush; wheeled equipment shows to advantage in a single-color military finish with a discreet patina and dust on the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
