Plastic set Soviet Maxim machine gun with crew in 1:72 scale from Zvezda — the Maxim heavy machine gun with crew figures for Second World War dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic set in 1:72 scale from Zvezda contains a model of the Soviet Maxim heavy machine gun together with figures of its crew. The parts of this range are usually designed as a simple kit that can be assembled without glue, and the set serves excellently to bring infantry scenes and Second World War dioramas to life.
The Maxim was the first truly automatic machine gun in the world, using the energy of recoil to reload. In the Soviet army it served in the version on its characteristic wheeled mount with a shield as one of the main heavy weapons of the infantry, and it was used throughout the Second World War.
Separate the small parts carefully with a sharp knife and secure the joints with a drop of super glue if needed. Paint the machine gun and the figures with a brush: build the skin tones up from a flesh base and darken the recesses with a wash. Keep the uniforms unified in khaki and earth shades, and bring out the metal parts of the machine gun with drybrushing.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
