An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet heavy tank T-10A in 1:72 scale from the maker Trumpeter. The package holds plastic parts on sprues and decals; the model is built by the classic gluing of plastic and offers a rewarding theme for a smaller display case and for a diorama alike.
The T-10 was the last Soviet heavy tank in series production and the culmination of the development of the IS series. The T-10A version was given a 122 mm gun with stabilization in the vertical plane and a bore evacuator on the barrel, which raised the accuracy of firing on the move. The machines served during the Cold War as a breakthrough and support force, until more versatile tanks replaced the heavy category.
First finish the running gear and the lower hull tub, and only then close the body up. The tracks and the road wheels need careful aligning. Bring the Soviet green to life with transitions of tone, with washes into the recesses and with dust pigments on the lower areas and the fenders.
