Eduard Sunderland Mk.III exterior 1:72 is a photo-etched exterior set for detailing the Short Sunderland Mk.III flying boat. It is not a model but a metal accessory to a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched exterior set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard sharpens up the outer surface of a model of the Short Sunderland Mk.III flying boat in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit and not a finished model, but a set of fine metal parts that replace or supplement the exterior details of a plastic kit, for example window frames, grab handles, covers and other elements of the hull and the engines.
The Short Sunderland was a British four-engine flying boat meant for long-range maritime patrol and the fight against submarines in the Second World War. The Mk.III version was the most widespread variant, with a reworked shape of the lower hull. The Sunderland stood out for great range, heavy defensive armament and a long service career.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bend the fine parts in a bending tool and degrease the metal before painting. In some places the original plastic detail has to be removed from the model. An airbrush and a fine brush for touching up the edges are recommended.
The set holds photo-etched metal parts only. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
