An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-62 medium tank in 1:72 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. It is a conventional kit in hard polystyrene, which at a smaller scale offers a rewarding subject in one of the most widespread armored weapons of the Cold War.
The T-62 followed on from the T-55 tank and was the first production tank to receive a large-caliber smoothbore gun. It served the Soviet army and a number of friendly states and took part in many conflicts of the second half of the 20th century. Characteristic features are the low cast turret and the long barrel with a fume extractor.
Finish the running gear and the tracks before closing the hull; glue the parts with thin cement for plastic. Once the base shade is sprayed on, you bring the vehicle to life with washes and dry pigments, which create dust and mud effects. The turret and the barrel show to advantage with careful emphasis of the engraved detail.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
