The decal set DP Casper Trikora 1962 in 1:72 scale - markings of aircraft from the period of Operation Trikora over New Guinea.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of waterslide (wet) decals in 1:72 scale from the Czech publisher DP Casper, focused on aircraft from the period of Operation Trikora in 1962. It is not a model or a kit: it is an accessory with markings and unit insignia that is applied to a model already built and painted. The DP Casper series is arranged thematically around particular operations and battles, so it makes it possible to build and mark a group of aircraft from one historical period. Check the particular types of aircraft and the number of schemes offered in the instructions in the package.
Operation Trikora was an Indonesian military campaign of 1961 and 1962 aimed at taking control of Dutch New Guinea (West Irian). The period ended with the territory being handed over to UN supervision. The set therefore aims at the less usual markings of that time, which are of interest to collectors.
First give the model a gloss varnish, so that the decals do not go dull and no silvering bubbles appear. Cut the decal out, immerse it in lukewarm water for a few seconds, slide it into place and settle it with a decal softener; once dry, overcoat with a matte or satin varnish.
An accessory with markings; it is not a model. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
