Spray masks in 1:32 scale for a model of the Mitsubishi A5M4 carrier-based fighter, known under the Allied designation Claude.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi A5M was a carrier-based fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy of the second half of the 1930s, all-metal, with fixed landing gear and an open cockpit. The A5M4 version was the most numerous and in the first years of the war in the Pacific formed the backbone of the fighter units, until it was replaced by a later type with retractable landing gear. The Allies used the designation Claude for this machine.
This is a set of spray masks for 1:32 scale. The mask is stuck onto the finished surface of the model, the area is sprayed over and, once it is off, a crisply bounded shape is left with no bleed. At a large scale that tells especially: an uneven line or paint that has run will not hide on a larger area. The extent of the set and the recommended procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The procedure that has proved itself:
The set is meant for modelers who build at a large scale and spray with an airbrush. Even a beginner will manage the work with it, because the mask itself bounds the color field and forgives small inaccuracies in handling the airbrush. Masks tend to be cut to the shape of a particular model, so on a kit from another maker offer them up dry first and compare them with the parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
