A collector's model of the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia RS in 1:43 scale, carried out in the shade Velvet Red metallic. The model is finished: it arrives assembled and painted, ready to go straight into a display case. There is no building and no painting. A saturated red is a classic choice on the sporting versions and works well in a collection as a counterweight to lighter and cooler shades.
The fourth generation of the Octavia carries on the proven recipe of the model: a roomy compact-class body with a large luggage compartment and a wide range of equipment. The RS version stands at the top of the line and sets itself apart with a sportier suspension setting, a more pronounced front bumper and grille, larger wheels and trim in a dark gloss finish. At a small scale it is precisely these features by which the sporting version is told at a glance from an ordinary Octavia.
A darker saturated red is prone to fingerprints and to the fine scratches that show up more in reflections than on light paints. Take hold of the model by the chassis, therefore, or through a soft cloth. Remove dust with a soft brush, not with a dry fabric. Do not use solvents, cleaners or polishes meant for real cars. A closed display case out of direct sun is best for long-term keeping, because ultraviolet light fades red pigments faster than most other shades.
It is a finished collector's model. It is not supplied as a kit and is not meant for gluing, sanding or repainting.
