Quinta Studio 1:32 F-4C Phantom II - a three-dimensionally printed colored interior on decal paper. An extensive accessory for the cockpit, not a kit of the aircraft. The target kit is the Tamiya one.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings three-dimensionally printed and factory-painted elements of both cockpits, printed on decal paper. The instrument panels, side consoles, controls and labels have a noticeable relief, so they read even in a scale this large, where painting by hand would take many hours and would still not reach the same sharpness of drawing. It is an accessory for a plastic kit in 1:32 scale, not a model of the aircraft. The extent of the set is given on the packaging. The shapes of the panels correspond to the Tamiya kit.
The Phantom II is a two-seat twin-engined jet combat aircraft with the stations arranged in tandem and with the characteristic dihedral of the outer wing sections. The F-4C form was the version for the US Air Force, derived from the original carrier variant and adapted for operation from land and for different equipment. In 1:32 scale the cockpit under the large glazing is exceptionally well visible, so the way it is turned out decides the resulting impression of the model more than anything else. The later F-4D form is a separate item, and the panels of the two versions are not interchangeable.
Smooth the surface underneath, degrease it and cover it with gloss varnish, because an element will not hold on matte paint. Cut with a sharp scalpel with a new blade close to the outline; in a large scale every inaccurate cut shows. Seat the elements with tweezers at the first attempt, as repeated shifting reduces adhesion. Soak the sheet briefly in lukewarm water and slide the element off the carrier paper. A decal softener and a setting solution do not belong here, as they would attack the printed resin. Lay large panels down from one edge and press gradually, so that no air is closed in beneath them. At the end, take the sheen off the surroundings and leave the gloss on the instrument glass.
It is an accessory for a model, not a kit of the aircraft. The set is cut for a particular kit in this scale, so check your own edition.
