A set of historical figures, 1:72 Turkish sailors, 16th to 17th century, from the maker Red Box: figures for a shipboard or harbor scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
Historical figures in 1:72 scale from the maker Red Box with the subject of Turkish sailors of the 16th to the 17th century. Supplied unassembled and unpainted on the sprue.
A ship's crew is the only one of the sets of this line that does not belong ashore. Its natural setting is a deck, a pier or a coastal scene, that is a level area without terrain relief, where there is nothing to hide the figures optically. The same maker's line also includes further sets of Turkish sailors with a different subject in the name, so order according to the full name of the product.
On a deck a figure cannot be sunk into terrain, which changes the procedure. The base has to be cut down to a thin plate and its edge sanded away to nothing, otherwise the figure comes across as standing on a step. Cleaner still is to remove the base altogether and anchor the figure with a wire pin passing through the deck. Plan the placement according to the construction of the ship: the figures belong at the railing, at the openings and at places where something is going on, not in the middle of a free area. Make use of the difference in the height levels of the decks, as the scene will gain depth by it.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
