SandPaper 180x90 mm, DRY 120 grit is a coarse abrasive paper for dry sanding. The 120 grit is the coarsest step of the dry line and serves for quick material removal, not for finishing a surface.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of abrasive paper of 180x90 mm from the brand Green Stuff World, intended for dry sanding. The 120 grit is among the coarse grains: it removes quickly and is intended for the first, shaping phase of the work. In the dry line it is the coarsest step offered, which the finer grits of 320, 400 and 800 follow on from. Waterproof sheets for wet sanding are carried by the maker as a separate line.
A coarse grain leaves pronounced scratches, so count on sanding over gradually with finer steps, otherwise the traces of sanding will appear under a gloss varnish. The sheet can be cut into smaller strips and stuck onto a flat plate or a sanding block, so that the sanding holds a plane. For thin edges and fine relief the 120 grit is too aggressive. The paper is intended for dry sanding, so tap it out as you go, so that it does not clog.
For modelers who need a coarse step for the start of sanding, and for anyone who does conversions, work with putty or modifications of resin parts.
Safety note: fine dust arises in dry sanding. Work in a ventilated room and protect your airways.
