Color seat belts with a raised relief for a model of the German First World War fighter Fokker D.VII in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
In the uncovered cockpit of a biplane the seat with its belts is the first thing a viewer sees. The plastic part from the kit usually has the belts only suggested by engraving or as a flat ridge. The color elements from this set take their place: the strap has a depth and a color of its own, fittings and buckles are set apart, and there is no painting of details a tenth of a millimeter across. The set is listed for 1:48 scale.
The Fokker D.VII is a German single-seat fighter biplane that reached combat in the last year of the First World War. The fuselage frame is welded from steel tubing and covered with fabric, the wings have a thick section and need no external bracing wires, so the space between the lifting surfaces stays unusually clean. The type was valued highly enough to be named specifically among the military material Germany was to hand over after the armistice.
Before applying them, check the manufacturer's instructions to see whether the elements are self-adhesive. The method of application differs between the individual lines, so do not start work until you have checked the procedure. The surface under the element must be dry, degreased and flat. Transfer the element with tweezers and seat it accurately the first time, because sliding it across the surface rubs the color off. Press it down with a soft tip and bend the strap slightly once it is in place so that it does not read like a plank. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage.
A set of color elements is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
