Color instrument panels with a raised relief for a model of the P-47 Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The instrument panel is the most exposed thing in the cockpit, and in a kit it tends to be no more than a flat part with engraving suggested on it. Color elements with a raised relief take the place of that surface: the dials have a depth of their own, the scales and needles are legible, and the color bezels appear without painting details a tenth of a millimeter across. The difference shows above all on a model with the canopy slid back or open.
The set is listed for Thunderbolt models in 1:48 scale. Instrument panels differ between the individual versions, so dry-fit the element against the plastic part before applying it and compare it with the kit instructions. Correct a small difference in outline by sanding the plastic, not by trimming the color element.
Before applying them, check the manufacturer's instructions to see whether the elements are self-adhesive. The method of application differs between the individual lines, so go by the instructions with the set and start work only once you are sure of the procedure. The base must be dry, degreased and flat. Transfer the element with tweezers or a sharpened stick and seat it accurately the first time, because sliding it across the surface rubs the color off. Press it down with a soft tip from the center outward, so that no air is left under it. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage; after that the panel is out of reach.
This is an accessory to a kit. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
