Color instrument panels with a raised relief for the Messerschmitt Bf 109E in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E, established among modelers as the Emil, is the version with which the Luftwaffe entered the first years of the Second World War and which is firmly tied to the Battle of Britain. The angular cockpit with its divided glazed panels lets a good deal of the inside show, so the fittings of the pilot's space really do tell on a finished model.
Painting the instrument panel by hand swallows a disproportionate amount of time: the small dials, needles and lettering are hard to manage with a brush in 1:48 scale and the result tends to be awkward. This set offers them finished, in color and with a raised relief, so the cockpit gets a convincing centerpiece in a moment and the modeler can get on with the rest of the build.
Clean and degrease the surface under the element, transfer the element with tweezers and press it down with a soft stick so that it seats over its whole area. Check the method of attachment in the manufacturer's instructions before you start work. The method of application differs between the individual lines, and the instructions with the set say how the element is fixed to the part and what tools to have ready for it.
For builders of the Emil with the cockpit open or the canopy slid back. Please check the fit with your kit against the manufacturer's instructions, because the dimensions of the pilot's space differ between individual kits. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
