A printed sheet for use under a finished model. It differs from the general base for the same station in what is printed on it: this is not a parking area but the main runway of RAF Scampton air base in the county of Lincolnshire. The version is blurred, the format 225 x 225 mm.
The definition here is tighter still than on the other bases in the range. Besides the place and the span of years 2000 to 2021, the motif also determines what scene can credibly be built on it. A runway is not a parking area: what belongs on it is a machine in motion, that is with its landing gear on the runway centerline, or in the takeoff position. A static scene with ground crew around an aircraft on the main runway looks out of place, because no such sight arises on a runway in use.
