A printed display base for a 1:48 model with the motif of a wood-planked revetment from the First and Second World War period. The 675 x 675 mm format gives a model a complete surface both for a display case and for photography.
Responsibility details are not available.
A large-format printed sheet showing the area of a revetment with wooden plank lining. It is neither a kit nor a decal. It is a finished base on which you stand your model and so obtain a scene without building a diorama. The printed area measures 675 x 675 mm and is made for 1:48 scale.
The motif is the planked surface of a revetment, that is a walled stand that protected a machine from splinters and from the weather. This type of surface appears from the First World War to the end of the Second World War, so the base suits a wide group of propeller aircraft of both periods. Unlike concrete and asphalt, the wooden structure is strongly patterned and gives a model a contrast that no smooth surface creates.
A side of 675 mm corresponds in 1:48 scale to roughly thirty-two meters of real area. A single-engine fighter in 1:48 will stay on it with a comfortable clearance on all sides, so there is room for ground crew, a stand or crates as well. With a twin-engine machine, expect it to fill a great deal more of the area and the scene to look tighter. Before buying, simply measure the footprint of the finished model and compare it with the dimensions of the sheet.
This is a printed base for a model. The model, figures and other accessories are not included.
