The decal set 1:48 F-4S/J Phantom II US Naval Air Test Center from HAD models, out of the Final Countdown collection, is a sheet for Phantom kits in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A stand-alone decal sheet in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer HAD models, carried in its Final Countdown collection. It is not a kit and not a resin accessory: what you get are printed decals with which you give an already built Phantom model the markings of machines of the US Naval Air Test Center. The set is cut for the ordinary kits of the F-4J and F-4S versions in 1:48 scale.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is a two-seat twin-engine carrier-based fighter. The F-4J version came about for the US Navy, and the F-4S is its later modernization with a strengthened structure and with leading-edge slats on the wing. The machines operated by the test center flew measuring and evaluation sorties, so they carried conspicuous, highly visible markings that differ markedly from the equipment of combat units. For a modeler this is a welcome alternative to the usual gray carrier schemes.
For modelers who build the Phantom in 1:48 scale and want to stand apart from the combat schemes built most often. The larger scale is rewarding for the small servicing and technical markings as well, which stay readable on the model.
This is a stand-alone decal sheet. The kit, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
