This accessory set from HGW is not a model but a detail refinement of the pilot's compartment for models of the American carrier fighter F6F Hellcat in 1:48 scale. The qualifier white denotes the color of the straps. The set contains belts of printed microfiber and photo-etched metal buckles.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was a key carrier fighter of the US Navy in the Pacific. In 1:48 scale the seat belts are one of the most conspicuous details of the cockpit, and the plastic version tends to be flat. Microfiber belts can be bent, threaded through buckles and allowed to drape faithfully over the seat. The material is waterproof and stands up to filters and washes.
Thread the belts through the photo-etched buckles and fix the joints with cyanoacrylate glue. The shade can be fine-tuned with acrylics or enamels and fixed first with gloss and then with matte varnish. Tweezers and a sharp knife are worth having.
