Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the wheeled M1014 tractor from MAN and of the semi-trailer with the launcher for the BGM-109G guided missile in 1:72 scale. It is a combination, that is two main parts which together make up one working whole. The small scale makes it possible to build the entire rig on a reasonable footprint, which suits a display case as well as a diorama.
The BGM-109G was the ground-launched version of a cruise missile operated by NATO units in Europe in the 1980s. The launcher was carried on a semi-trailer towed by an off-road MAN tractor in an all-wheel-drive configuration. The rig was designed to be mobile so that it could disperse away from permanent bases. The system was withdrawn at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s under an international treaty on the elimination of intermediate-range missiles.
With wheeled vehicles it is worth assembling and painting the chassis and the wheels before you close up the body. Give the tires a matte finish and set them apart from the bodywork, otherwise the model looks all of one piece. Build the launch container so that you decide between the transport and the launch position before gluing the joints. A restrained dust pigment on the lower areas and a wash into the engraved lines suit the final step, since heavy weathering visually merges the tiny details at this scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
