The Jagdpanzer 38 is a German light tank destroyer from the end of the Second World War, habitually called the Hetzer. It came about on a chassis derived from the Panzer 38(t) and carries a low closed superstructure with sloped sides and no rotating turret. From the subject it was based on it also inherited its running gear: four large wheels on each side, sprung on leaf springs. On such a low machine those wheels are well in view, because there is no side skirt above them to cover them.
The version of the wheels changed during production. The number and the kind of fasteners on the rim differed, and so did the width of the collar at the hub, so two otherwise identical machines can have visibly different wheels. The set offers one definite variant, namely the wheel with thirty-two bolts around the rim and a wider collar, and replaces the simplified part from the kit with it. According to the name it is sized for one kit and it is aimed at Dragon kits with the numbers 6399, 6489 and 6815. The number of pieces in the package is stated by the manufacturer.
The choice of glue follows the material of the parts: cement for plastic models on polystyrene, cyanoacrylate glue on parts of another material. Cut the surplus material and the traces of production away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder back, so that the circular outline is preserved. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. It makes sense to paint the wheels separately and fit them at the very end, since the space between fitted wheels is hard to reach with a brush.
The kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
