The Jagdpanzer 38 was a German light tank destroyer on a chassis derived from the Czechoslovak type 38(t), and in the literature the name Hetzer has taken hold for it. It ran on four large road wheels on each side, and those are the best visible part of the finished model. The wheels differed during production: the number and the kind of fasteners on the disc changed, and so did the width of the collar, so they too give away a particular vehicle.
This is a replacement for the wheels from the original kit, not an extra accessory. This version has thirty-two bolts on the disc and a wide collar. The set is counted for one vehicle and is shaped for the Trumpeter kit in the Starr version; on a kit from another manufacturer it need not line up with the axles and with the track. The material of the parts, their number and the way they are made are given on the box and in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the surplus material and the traces of production away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder back, so that the contact face seats flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Choose the glue by the material of the parts and by the directions in the manufacturer's instructions. Fit the wheels on the axles only after the base color has dried, and watch that they all sit in one plane, otherwise the finished model will visibly rock on its base.
For modelers who build German tank destroyers and want wheels with sharper detail or with the right version of the disc. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
