Replacement road wheels for the Jagdpanzer 38 in 1:35 scale, in the version with sixteen rivets, welds and a narrow collar. The set is enough for one kit and is meant for the Dragon 6030, 6037 and 6060 kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The German light tank destroyer Jagdpanzer 38, known under the name Hetzer, was built in several batches and its road wheels changed along the way. While the older discs were bolted, the later batches brought riveting backed up by welds and a narrower collar. A modeler who builds a particular vehicle from a photograph therefore needs wheels matching exactly that batch.
The set replaces the wheels from the original kit. This version has sixteen rivets on the disc, backed up by welds, and a narrow collar. The contents are counted for one vehicle and the parts are shaped for the Dragon kits with the kit numbers 6030, 6037 and 6060. The binding source is the enclosed manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the surplus material and the traces of production away with a sharp blade a little from the part, sand the remainder back and true the contact face up, so that the wheel seats square. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Choose the glue by the material of the parts and by the directions in the instructions. The rivets and the welds on the disc come into their own if a thin dark wash goes into the recesses after the base color and the edges get a light dry-brush; fine surface detail is easily drowned, so lay the paint on in thin coats.
For modelers who build a particular vehicle from a period photograph and need the matching version of the discs. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
