Imitations of the vision blocks for the Zvezda T-14 Armata model in 1:35, in a blue and a clear pattern. The clear items read as neutral glass, the blue ones give the optics a cold color cast.

Modern tracked equipment has its optics spread across the whole turret and hull, and it is these small faces that decide whether a model looks like a replica or like a machine in miniature. The set gives the vision blocks of the T-14 Armata a clear surface: the clear items behave like neutral glass with no tint, while the blue ones bring a cold tone into the optics that shifts with the angle at which light falls.
Combining both shades in one set gives you freedom. You can use them to tell the main sighting block from the auxiliary vision blocks, or leave clear where you want to see depth and blue where the face should stand out more. The set is prepared for the T-14 Armata kit from Zvezda; the same vehicle from another maker has its vision blocks shaped differently, which is why the sets are made for a particular model.
Cleanliness is everything on optics
Do not take clear faces between your fingers. Grease from skin stays on them as a permanent haze that can no longer be polished out without damaging the surface. Use tweezers with smooth jaws, ideally with a soft insert, and lay the items out beforehand on a clean sheet of paper. If dust settles on a face, blow it off with a bulb or wipe it away with a dry soft brush, never with a cloth and solvent.
