Imitations of the vision blocks for the Zvezda T-14 Armata model in 1:35, in a green and a clear pattern. The green shade matches optics with a coated layer, the clear one leaves a vision block looking like neutral glass.

A green cast is among the most common looks of cover glass on tracked equipment, and it is exactly this detail that makes a big difference on a model. For the T-14 Armata the set brings two positions: green items with a color tone and clear ones with no tint. Both replace a matte plastic face with a surface that reflects light, so the optics on the model light up according to where you look at them from.
The green and the clear variant can be combined or used separately, depending on the overall look you want from the model. The set is tied to the T-14 Armata kit from Zvezda. The manufacturer also makes a sister set with a blue and a clear shade, which handles the same vehicle in a different color key, so you can choose by the look you have in mind.
Prepare the seat of the vision block first
Before you reach for the optics themselves, give a minute to the place they go. Mold burrs, remains of a sprue gate and lumps of dried paint in the corner of the recess can lift an item and spoil the whole effect. Level the recess with a sharp scalpel, run fine sandpaper over it and sweep the dust out with a soft brush. A flat and clean seat is half the result.
