An accessory set of stowage and equipment for the model of the British Scammell vehicle in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Scammell is a British make of heavy commercial vehicles whose machines served in the Second World War as tractors, recovery vehicles and carriers of heavy loads. In the field these vehicles rarely looked as if they had just left the factory: crews piled rolled tarpaulins, crates, cans and personal equipment onto them, and it is exactly that accumulation that gives a model a lived-in look and breaks up the uniform surface of the bed.
Accessory parts imitating the stowage and equipment piled on the vehicle, in 1:35 scale. The set is an accessory to a finished model, not a kit in its own right. Which particular pieces it holds and how they are arranged are given in the manufacturer's instructions and by the illustration on the packaging; period photographs are a useful guide too, because the layout of the stowage differed from machine to machine.
The parts are not polystyrene and ordinary modeling cement does not hold on them, so use super glue. Cut the excess material off a little way from the part with a sharp blade and sand the rest down, so that the part seats on the bed without a gap. Try the placing dry before gluing. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Paint the stowage apart from the vehicle and vary the shades between the individual pieces, as otherwise they merge into a single mass; a darker glaze at the end pulls out the folds of the tarpaulins and the edges of the crates.
Paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
