A set of cast road wheels for the American M4 Sherman medium tank in 1:35 scale, in the version marked as pattern No. 7. The Sherman was built in many plants and the hubs of the road wheels differed between them; what is more, several types were often mixed on one vehicle as wheels were replaced in the field.
Sherman road wheels were pressed or cast and existed in a range of patterns that differ in the number and shape of the openings and ribs in the hub. For a modeler this is a rewarding field: the right combination of wheels can place a model with a particular production batch, while mixing different patterns on one vehicle looks entirely credible and matches field practice.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and cut the casting blocks off with a saw so that the cut falls in the contact area. Bond with super glue. Paint the rubber tires a dark gray rather than black and set the hubs apart with the base color of the vehicle. Apply a dark wash into the hollows and dirty the lower part of the wheels according to the terrain the model stands in.
The set is an accessory to a kit and does not replace the kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
