1:35 Type 16 road wheels is a resin set of wheels for a model of the Japanese Type 16 MCV wheeled combat vehicle. It is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model of the vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
The resin set of wheels from PANZER ART is meant for building the Japanese Type 16 wheeled combat vehicle in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit of the vehicle, but an accessory with which the wheels from a plastic kit are replaced. On an eight-wheeled vehicle the wheels are visible along the whole length of the side, so any inaccuracy or trace of a mold parting line shows up on them more than on any other part.
The Type 16 is a modern Japanese wheeled combat vehicle with all-wheel drive, designed for fast movement by road and for fire support with a gun in a turret. Against tracked tanks it is lighter, faster on roads and easier to transport, which matches the way it is meant to be used. The wheels with massive off-road tires and a tire pressure control system are among its most characteristic features, and on a model it is the detail by which the vehicle is recognized.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that the release agent is gone. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, level the mating surfaces by sanding wet and with your airways protected. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before gluing, check dry that all the wheels stand in the same plane, as otherwise the model will visibly rock on its base. After the primer, paint the tires dark gray instead of pure black, the discs in the shade of the vehicle, and at the end add dust in the grooves of the tread. Present-day vehicles tend to be cleaner than wartime ones, so go about the finish sparingly.
The accessory is supplied unpainted, as resin castings. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
