An injection molded plastic kit of a Toyota FJ43 off-road pickup fitted with a Soviet DShKM heavy machine gun in 1:35 scale from the brand AK Interactive. The model captures the typical improvised fighting vehicle of the kind that appears in modern conflicts. Decals for marking variants are included, along with a detailed interior and a bed with the weapon mount.
The Toyota FJ43 belongs to the FJ40 range of 4x4 off-road vehicles that Toyota has built since the 1950s. The pickup version became a popular carrier of heavy weapons. The DShKM is a Soviet 12.7 mm heavy machine gun, nicknamed the Dushka, valued for its firepower, reliability and simple maintenance. This combination makes the classic makeshift fighting vehicle of regular and irregular units alike.
We recommend thin cement for plastic and assembling the interior, the chassis and the mount before closing up the body. For a realistic result use a primer, an airbrush, washes and pigments for dust and mud. The machine gun and its mount deserve careful cleaning up of the parting lines and a fine lift of the details.
