Historical Collection World War II Sd.Kfz. 10 Demag D7 is a clip-together brick kit from the Polish manufacturer COBI. It covers the German light half-track tractor, and once built according to the instructions the model is finished straight away.

The set belongs to the Historical Collection range, to the part devoted to the Second World War. It is a clip-together brick kit, not a classic plastic model: the parts fit into each other and hold mechanically, and the model comes about directly during the build according to the enclosed instructions. The colors and the markings are given by the finish of the individual parts and by the printing applied directly on them.
The Sd.Kfz. 10 was the smallest of the German half-track tractors, carried in the factory terminology as the Demag D 7 and in the army one as a light tractor of the 1 ton category. The front steered axle was wheeled, at the rear the vehicle carried tracked running gear with sprung road wheels, which gave it good going through terrain at a low weight. It served above all to tow light guns and to carry their crews and loads; it was built from the end of the 1930s in great numbers and its chassis became the basis for the Sd.Kfz. 250 series armored personnel carrier. It is precisely its wide use and the number of modifications in the field that made it a rewarding subject for modelers and collectors alike.
Finish the frame and the running gear first, and only then the body - the layers follow on from each other and a later repair to a closed section means taking several steps apart. Build the tracked running gear symmetrically on both sides, as otherwise the model will not stand straight. Always push the parts fully home. The finished model is stable; display it on a flat surface or in a display case and wipe the dust off with a soft brush.
The kit is supplied unassembled. Once completed according to the instructions the model is finished and calls for no further work.
