A kit of the French Mirage IIIC fighter aircraft with a delta wing. The parts join together without gluing.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mirage IIIC was the first production fighter version of the French Mirage III family. It entered service with the French Air Force at the beginning of the 1960s and became an export success. It was driven by a single jet engine and the armament consisted of cannon completed by guided missiles. The aircraft was built as a single-seat interceptor on which a fast climb to altitude was counted on.
The most conspicuous thing is the triangular delta wing with no horizontal tail surfaces. Along with it go a slender nose with a conical intake and side circular air intakes with movable cones. It is precisely the shape of the wing and its transition into the fuselage that decide whether the finished model looks like a Mirage, so it pays to seat the wing carefully and to check the symmetry.
It is a kit of plastic parts that join together without gluing. You build the model yourself, and you need no glue for it. The extent of the set, the number of parts and the procedure are given by the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the package.
Work step by step according to the instructions and push the parts home evenly, so that the joint seats over its whole area. A step that goes wrong can be taken apart and fitted again. Set the finished model down by the fuselage, not by the wingtips or by the vertical tail surface.
The set suits anyone interested in postwar jet aviation who wants to build without glue and paints.
A display case, a stand and other extras are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
