This item is not a kit nor a complete set. According to the name it is a single resin road wheel in the type 2 version, supplied without the rubber tire. It is intended for plastic models of the American M60A1 to M60A3 tank and the Israeli version, the Magach 6, in 1:35 scale.
A bare steel disc without a tread is a storytelling part. Modelers use it as a spare wheel lashed to the front or the side of the hull, as a piece set aside in a diorama, or straight on the suspension, where it shows a wheel with the rubber torn off. A detail of this kind gives away at once that the vehicle has field use behind it. Count on this being one piece, not the fit for a whole suspension.
The M60 tank was introduced at the start of the 1960s and went through modernizations during its service as far as the M60A3 version. Israel operated machines of this family under the designation Magach 6. The road wheels consist of a steel disc with a rubber tire; that wears under hard use and in the extreme case comes away.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap so that remains of the mold release agent are removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw rather than nipping them, as resin is brittle. It is best to sand wet and with respiratory protection. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) for gluing, because ordinary polystyrene cement will not bond resin. Apply a primer before painting. On a bare disc a darker wash run into the pressings and light drybrushing in a metallic shade on the edges stand out. If you place the wheel on the hull as a spare part, give it a slightly different weathering from the vehicle - it looks more convincing than one uniform surface.
This is not a model on its own but an accessory for a plastic kit. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
