A resin accessory in 1:35 scale from ELEFANT. It holds a wooden box with an engraved wood texture and a photo-etched bracket with which the box is fixed to the vehicle. The casting captures the pattern of the planks and the ironwork more crisply than injection-molded plastic can, so on the model it looks like a separate piece of equipment rather than a glued-on block. It is not a kit of the vehicle but a detail added to a model under construction or already finished.
The Pz.Kpfw III was a German medium tank of the Second World War. The Ausf. L and M versions represent the late production state with a 5 cm gun with a barrel 60 calibers long, while the Ausf. N version carried a short 7.5 cm gun intended for fire support of the infantry. Vehicles of these batches received additional armor plates and, in the later period, side and turret skirts as well. Boxes, crates and bags with the crew's materiel were carried on the fenders, on the hull and at the rear; these are features that differed from one vehicle to the next and give a model its individuality.
First wash the resin casting in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap so that remains of the mold release agent are removed and the paint holds. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a thin cutting disc and sand the area; sand resin wet and protect your breathing, as the dust is fine. It is glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate), ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Apply a primer before painting. The wood texture looks best when you lay oil paints or a glaze over a lighter base, bring the texture out with a dark wash and lift the edges with a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
