1:32 Su-25 WAR 2022 destroyed planes

Su-25, decals 1:32, HAD models

A set of decals for a model of the Su-25 ground-attack aircraft in 1:32 scale. According to the name it contains the markings of machines destroyed during 2022. The decals are applied to an already built and painted model; the set does not contain a kit, paints or glue. HAD models is a Hungarian manufacturer of decals which has long concentrated on the markings of Eastern European aviation equipment.

The real subject

The Sukhoi Su-25 is a single-seat twin-engine aircraft intended for the direct support of ground units, brought into service in the 1980s. The design puts the emphasis on resilience: the pilot's cockpit is protected by a welded armored bathtub, the systems are duplicated and the engines are separated from each other. A wing of large area with a series of pylons makes it possible to carry a wide assortment of unguided and guided armament while operating from short and unpaved surfaces. The machine was built in single-seat and in two-seat training versions and a number of countries use it.

How to apply the decals

Varnish the surface under the decal with a gloss varnish, otherwise a silvery patch will show under the film. Cut the decal out close to the motif, soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until it can be moved. Transfer it onto the model, settle it and soak the excess water up with a cloth. In places with rivets and engraved lines use a decal softener. Once it is dry, varnish over it and finally even the gloss out according to the surface you want to have.

Who the set is for

• For builders of modern combat aviation subjects in 1:32 scale.
• For modelers who want the markings of a particular machine instead of the general ones from the box.
• For collectors of decal sets for Eastern European types.

This is an accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
