The Su-25 is a single-seat ground-attack aircraft intended for the direct support of ground units. It has an armored cockpit, rugged landing gear for operation from poorer surfaces and a wide choice of external stores. Ukrainian machines wear a camouflage made up of small rectangular fields, which is commonly called digital. Masking and spraying such a pattern is lengthy and evenness over the whole surface is hard to keep.
A decal sheet in 1:48 scale with Ukrainian digital camouflage for the Su-25. It makes it possible to transfer the intricate pattern onto a model without masking and without spraying the individual fields. The pattern thus stays equally dense and sharp over the whole surface, which with a small camouflage sprayed by hand is hard to achieve.
Prepare the base smooth and glossy, as on a matte surface a white veil forms under the decal. Separate the elements from the sheet with a sharp blade, not with scissors. The procedure for application and the recommended softener are given in the manufacturer's instructions; keep to them, because on large-area sheets the order of the pieces matters, as does how much surface you can manage at once. Once it is dry, go over the model with a varnish, which will sink the edges in and even the gloss out with the surroundings.
The sheet will be appreciated by modelers who want a present-day Ukrainian Su-25 and do not want to set about masking a small pattern. The work calls for patience and a steady hand while settling the larger pieces. The model, paints, varnish and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
