J's Work 1:48 ATMs is a diorama set of two cash machines: a free-standing kiosk, 1 piece, and a through-the-wall ATM, 1 piece. It serves as an accessory for an urban scene; it is not a vehicle model.

A diorama set in 1:48 scale from the maker J's Work. It contains an ATM in a free-standing version, that is a kiosk, 1 piece, and an ATM built into a wall, through the wall, 1 piece. These are the small things nobody photographs on their own, but without which an urban scene does not look like a town. A finished street with a smooth empty facade works as a backdrop; the same street with an ATM in the wall works as a place people go to.
The free-standing kiosk goes on a sidewalk, in an underpass, at a corner or in an entrance hall. The through-the-wall ATM is the more interesting of the two, because it calls for work on the facade: you cut an opening and set the machine into it, so the result looks like part of the building rather than an object stuck to it. Both suit present-day and recent urban scenes, civilian car models as well as military scenes in built-up areas, where civilian street furniture raises the contrast.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry thoroughly; paint will not hold on a greasy surface. Apply a primer, and only then the paint. Bring out the display and the keypad with a dark wash and go over the edges carefully with a dry brush, so that the plastic and the metal stand out. Realism is helped a great deal by grime at the bottom of the casing, finger marks around the keypad and a light layer of dust on the top face. With the through-the-wall ATM, cut the opening in the facade smaller at first and widen it gradually, so that no gap is left around it.
This is a diorama accessory, not a kit of a vehicle. Glue, paints and the base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
