The Opel Rekord C was a German mid-size car of the second half of the 1960s. Besides the sedan and the station wagon, a two-door coupe was also built, with an extended tail and a lower roof, which looks the most sporting of the whole range. It is the coupe that is the subject of this kit.
This is a kit of plastic parts that are joined without glue. The model is therefore built by pushing the parts into each other according to the instructions and it can also be dismantled, which will be appreciated by builders who do not want to work with glue or paints. The item carries the Executive Edition designation in its name; under the same subject the manufacturer also makes a basic form without that designation. Build on a flat surface and sort the parts out before you start, so that you do not have to sift through them while searching. Push the smaller parts in square and press them evenly, so that the joint does not twist. Work through the instructions step by step and check the finished subassemblies against the picture before you place the next layer on them. The finished model does not need varnishing; if you still want to paint it, try the paint first on a part that will not be visible.
