A kit of the Opel Rekord C coupe in the basic form. The plastic parts are joined without glue, and no paint is needed for the build either.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Opel Rekord C was a German mid-size car of the second half of the 1960s. Besides the sedan and the station wagon, a two-door coupe was also built, with an extended tail and a lower roofline that makes the car look more sporting than the other body versions. This coupe is the subject of the kit.
The set is a kit of plastic parts that are joined without glue. It is built according to the instructions by simply pushing the parts into each other, and the finished model can be dismantled and built again. This is the basic form; under the same subject the manufacturer also makes a version designated Executive Edition. How the two differ is stated in the manufacturer's description on the box.
Set aside a flat working surface and sort the parts by size in advance, which shortens the searching considerably. Work through the instructions step by step and compare every subassembly with the picture before you place the next one on it. Push the small parts in square and press evenly, so that the joint does not twist. The model needs no painting; if you take it on all the same, try the shade first on a part that will not be visible.
The set will please collectors of European cars of the 1960s and works for a build to share with children too, because it involves neither glue nor sharp tools. The finished model is intended above all to be displayed.
The package holds the kit and the instructions. Paints, glue and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
