1:48 B-25J Mitchell part 2 - Royal Australian Air Force

B-25J Mitchell decals – Royal Australian Air Force, 1:48 (Art Scale)

A set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale made for models of the B-25J Mitchell medium bomber. The second part of the range concentrates on the aircraft of the Australian air force committed in the Pacific area and contains the national insignia together with unit and personal markings.

The real subject

The North American B-25 Mitchell was a twin-engine medium bomber widely used by the Allies in the Second World War. The B-25J version was among the most widespread; Australian squadrons flew them in the southwest Pacific against Japanese ground and naval targets.

Use

• Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss coat, which will keep the film from going dull.
• Cut the design out, dip it in lukewarm water and slide it onto the surface of the model.
• Blot the excess water away and help it settle into the detail with a decal softener.
• Once dry, go over the area with a flat or semi-gloss varnish.

Who the set is for

For modelers who want to finish their Mitchell in 1:48 scale in the colors and markings of the Australian air force.

This is a standalone decal set; the model itself, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
