1 mm Bullet-proof bolt is a set of small modeling bolts with a heavy head in the 1 mm size designation. It is used to add hardware to models of armored vehicles.

Small modeling bolts with a prominent solid head, carrying the size designation 1 mm. This is not a kit and not a finished model, but an accessory that replaces the molded hardware on armor parts and their joints on the model.
On the real vehicles, thick armor plate is joined with heavy hardware with a prominent head, and that is exactly what is most often suppressed on plastic models. The mold can only suggest it, and when the seams are sanded it disappears altogether. A separately fitted part gives the joint its relief back, holds regular spacing and, once painted, creates a natural shadow that breaks up the surface optically.
Measure out the spacing and mark it lightly first, and only then drill, otherwise the row will wander. Drill with a micro drill bit in a pin vise and choose a hole on the tight side; the part will then center itself. Apply the glue in the smallest possible amount with a pin, so that none flows around the head and dulls the surrounding surface. Once it has cured it is a good idea to spray the whole surface with primer, which unifies the different materials. The detail comes out after a dark wash and light drybrushing on the edges of the heads.
This is an accessory for building a model, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
