A masking set in 1:72 scale for a model of the Fokker S-11 Instruktor trainer. Shaped masks speed up covering the glazing before spraying.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fokker S-11 Instruktor is a postwar Dutch trainer. It is a single-engine low-wing monoplane with a piston engine, a two-seat cockpit and a fixed tailwheel landing gear, that is, a classic machine for basic pilot training. It flew with the Dutch Air Force and in other countries, and its undemanding handling kept it in service for a long time. On a model the long glazing over both seats is conspicuous and calls for careful covering during painting.
A set of shaped masks for a Fokker S-11 model in 1:72 scale. The masks are cut to the shape of the individual glazed areas, so there is no cutting and applying of tape in small pieces. The extent of the set, that is, whether it covers the wheels or other areas besides the cockpit, is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing before spraying. Press the edges down with a toothpick or a blunt wooden stick so that paint cannot run under them. Lay the paint on in thin coats and let it flash off between them. Once the last coat has dried, lift the mask with the tip of a scalpel and pull it away at an angle, not straight up. Any remaining adhesive comes off with a cloth moistened in clean water. If the model is still to be clear-coated, take the masks off only afterwards.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
