A decal sheet in 1:72 scale from the HAD models brand, with the markings of the pilot helmets and cloth patches of Ukrainian Su-27 fighter crews. This is not an aircraft model and not parts for a build, but waterslide decals with which you finish the small figures of pilots and ground crew beside your model.
In 1:72 scale a figure measures around 25 millimeters and the helmet on it is smaller than a pinhead. Painting a sharp colored marking onto such an area with a brush is practically impossible, whereas a decal manages it. It is precisely these small things that make the difference between an anonymous little figure and a figure that gives the scene beside the model scale and life. The sheet is intended for the single-seat and two-seat versions of the Su-27 alike, as its name states.
Work with tweezers and under a magnifier; decals of this size are easily lost. First varnish the surface with a gloss varnish and let it cure, or silvering will appear. Cut the decal out as close as you can, soak it in lukewarm water only briefly and move it into place with a soft brush - with elements this small, the slightest movement is enough for the film to fold over. Apply the decal softener really sparingly and let it dry without touching it. Finally, unify everything with a matte varnish.
The decals are supplied as a separate accessory. The figures, the aircraft model, the paints, the varnish and the decal softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
