1:12 Bust German Soldier Eastern Front is a bust by the Dynamo-Models brand treating the figure of a German soldier on the eastern battlefield.
Responsibility details are not available.
The bust by the Dynamo-Models brand captures a soldier of the German armed forces from the eastern battlefield of the Second World War. The chosen 1:12 format is big enough for a detailed face and yet works more briskly than the larger busts.
Combat activity in the east ran in a belt reaching from the Baltic to the Black Sea and lasted from June 1941 to the spring of 1945. Conditions there changed with the season more than on any other battlefield: churned-up roads in spring and autumn, dusty heat in summer and temperatures far below zero in the winter period. The equipment was gradually adapted to it, from the summer field blouse to padded suits and felt overboots. This changeability makes the eastern front a rewarding theme for figure work.
The base tone of field cloth lies between gray-green and gray. Keep to one shade and handle the variation by lightening the edges of the folds, not by changing the color. Worn cloth loses its depth, so take the gloss off it completely. Apply dust and mud sparingly from the bottom up, so that they do not cover the modeling, and merely suggest the metal buckles with a dot of a lighter tone.
