About product

A7V 1:120 (TT) - Hauler

A small resin kit of the German tank A7V of the First World War in the railroad scale 1:120 (TT) from the Czech manufacturer Hauler. This finely cast resin kit, as a rule completed with photo-etched parts, is intended for more experienced modelers. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact contents of the package, follow the enclosed instructions.

The real subject

The A7V was the only German tank to see combat in the First World War. It was a massive, angular and tall vehicle with a numerous crew, driven by a pair of engines. Its main armament was a gun in the front of the hull supplemented by several machine guns around the perimeter. The German army built only a small number of them and first committed them in 1918. Today the A7V is among the most iconic and most characteristic armored vehicles of the Great War.

Building and painting tips

Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding. The large smooth sides of the vehicle are rewarding for colorful period schemes and numbers: spray over a primer and build the weathering with thin washes and pigments for dust and mud effects. At a small scale, work sparingly.

Who the model is for

  • For fans of First World War vehicles
  • For collectors of early tanks and curiosities
  • For modelers building dioramas in a small scale
  • For owners of TT layouts and more experienced builders

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.

Rather for the more experienced. The small resin and photo-etched parts and the cyanoacrylate glue call for a certain dexterity.
