Drop Shape Small Palette Knife

A palette knife with a small drop-shaped blade from the range of sculpting tools of the AMMO of Mig Jimenez brand. It is a tool, not a material: it serves for mixing paints and pastes on a palette and for applying compounds directly to a model or to the base of a diorama. The drop shape gives a point for working in a small space and at the same time rounded sides with which a compound can be spread out over an area.

What it suits

• Mixing oil paints, pastes and pigments on a palette without ruining brushes.
• Applying texture pastes to the base of a diorama and shaping them into relief.
• Working with fillers and modeling pastes, where the material has to be got into a small area.

Maintenance

• Wipe and wash the blade immediately after work, while the compound has not dried; dried material is markedly harder to remove from it.
• Do not use the knife for prying, as the thin blade is not built for twisting.
