This color detail set brings a finished cockpit interior; it is not an aircraft kit. The parts are 3D-printed, fully painted and supplied on decal paper: the instrument panel, the side panels, the levers and the switches with fine relief. The set is meant for models of the Gloster Meteor F.8 in 1:48 scale.
The Gloster Meteor F.8 was a British jet fighter aircraft and the most widespread production version of the Meteor. It had a lengthened fuselage and a reworked cockpit with an ejection seat, and in the 1950s it formed the backbone of the RAF fighter squadrons. The open cockpit with its classic dials makes an interior set a rewarding accessory.
The parts release in water like a decal, but once lifted off the paper they behave rather like pre-colored pliable details. Clean lukewarm water is enough, as a softener would damage the printed resin, so do not use it. They are stuck onto cleaned surfaces of the cockpit, and small elements can be secured with a drop of super glue. It pays to work with tweezers and to try the placement out in advance.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
