This is a colored decal set for the interior of a model of the A-6E Intruder in 1:32 scale in the small version. The small version designation comes straight from the name of the product and distinguishes it from the full set on the same subject. It is not a model or a kit but an accessory applied to finished painted parts. The decals are shaped for the parts of the Trumpeter kit.
The A-6 Intruder was a twin-engine carrier attack aircraft intended for all-weather operations, with a crew of two sitting side by side. The E version was the most common operational form. The wide cockpit means that detail under an open canopy comes into its own.
The base must be smooth and glossy. So overcoat the painted part with gloss varnish and let it cure completely. Then release the decal after about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water, place it, align it and blot up the excess water with a soft cloth. Do not use a decal softener or setting solution; their chemicals would damage the printed resin and ruin the element. Do not handle the part until it has dried. Seal the finished interior with varnish in the matching degree of sheen.
The set replaces the flat kit parts with a colored print that gives a three-dimensional impression. It saves painting the smallest details and unifies the look of the whole interior. Degrease the plastic surface before application and level any coarse relief.
The set is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. Paints, glue and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
